The Hogan brand was born in 1986 within the Tod's group, owned by Diego and Andrea Della Valle. The "Traditional" shoe was born in 1986, inspired by the world of cricket. In 1995 there was the launch of the "athletic" Hogan Sneakers line. In 1997 a new line was born, called "Hogan Interactive". In 2000, inauguration of the first Hogan Stores in Milan and Caserta. In 2002, inauguration of the second Store in Florence. In the following years there were inaugurations in Hong Kong, London, Paris, Dubai, Seoul, Taipei and Beirut; in addition, the second store in Hong Kong was inaugurated.
In 2004, the "Hogan olympia" sneaker was released and in 2008 the brand presented the "Hogan Rebel" collection, which in the following years became an independent brand, and the first "Ready-to-wear" collection, created by the designer Thakoon. In 2009 the collection of "Hippie Logo" handbags and the "Attractive" line of shoes, aimed at a female audience, and "Hogan eyewear", a line of sunglasses, in collaboration with the Marcolin group, an Italian company. Since 2010 Karl Lagerfeld has been working with the brand for four seasons. Since 2013 Katie Grand, editor of Love magazine, designs the special Katie Grand Loves Hogan collection.
Hogan distributes its products through single-brand and multi-brand stores, and through e-commerce.
